Demystifying PSM for an Enabled Workforce

There are many contributing factors challenging business operations. The lack of skilled workforces and knowledge
transfer in Process Safety Management (PSM), in particular, has contributed to the current scarcity of the required knowledge and skills. If the situation continues, it could potentially compromise the operational safety and increase risk profiles of many facilities. Many companies understand the need to change their current learning and development approach. Organizations rely too often on discrete training initiatives and tend not to follow up with additional development to reinforce and sustain the skills required. This paper demonstrates the importance of enabling the workforce to effectively implement Process Safety Management, by way of a structured learning and development approach, in order to ensure that business and operational continuity are maintained.

Solves Maintenance Dilemma

This article features a case study of a UK oil supplier who was faced with a major dilemma when a transformer oil storage tank began to leak in several places. The new, surface tolerant technology, Belzona 1212 was specified to repair the holed tank as this epoxy-based system provides excellent, long-term corrosion resistance even when applied to oil contaminated surfaces where grit blasting is not possible.
